1.6 HealthKit and Health Connect Data

If you connect Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect, the app requests permission to read health data including steps, sleep, heart rate, and active energy. This data is used only to calculate your wellness scores and display your health trends. It is imported with your explicit permission, governed by your device’s permission settings, and can be disconnected at any time from Settings → Health Connections.

1.7 Third-Party Health Integrations

If you connect health devices or services, we may receive data from:

• Apple HealthKit
• Google Health Connect
• Fitbit, Garmin, Whoop, and Oura Ring (when integrated)

All third-party health data is imported only with your explicit permission and is governed by your device’s permission settings.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, secure password hashing, restricted access controls, and regular security audits. However, no internet transmission method is completely secure.

7 Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information as long as your account remains active or as required for legal compliance, with the following specific exceptions:

• Face scan signal data is processed on Balanz & Beonn’s servers and discarded immediately after the heart rate estimate is computed. No camera frames, no signal arrays, and no facial data are retained on any system at any time. Only the derived heart rate estimate is retained, and this is removed within 30 days of an account deletion request.
• You can request account deletion at any time via the app or by contacting team@balanzbeonn.com.
• Personal data will be removed within 30 days of a deletion request.
• Aggregated wellness metrics may be retained after deletion for product improvement purposes — these contain no personal identifiers and cannot be linked back to you.

9 Health Data Special Provisions

Health and biometric data receives the highest level of protection:

Camera signal data from face scans is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never transmitted to any third party. It is processed exclusively within Balanz & Beonn’s own infrastructure and discarded immediately after use. The derived heart rate estimate is stored only to provide your personal health history and is deleted upon account deletion.

10 Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11 Third-Party Services

We may link to third-party services such as AI providers, hosting platforms, and analytics services. We encourage reviewing their privacy policies separately.

12 International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your location with appropriate safeguards in place.
